FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

BOOKING

  • Hearth accepts a limited number of installations each season. Early booking is encouraged, particularly for larger or whole-home projects, and gives us the strongest selection when sourcing holiday decor.

  • Once your scope, estimated investment and availability are confirmed, a non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your project and begin the design process.

  • After the initial deposit, 50% of the remaining balance is due once the design is approved so decor and materials can be secured. The final balance is due seven days before installation.

DESIGN & DECOR

  • Your proposal will clearly outline the decor and materials being sourced specifically for your project. Newly purchased decor becomes yours to keep. We thoughtfully consider quality and versatility so your collection can be enjoyed, reimagined and added to for years to come.

  • Our focus is custom design, sourcing and styling rather than maintaining a large inventory of rental trees and greenery. Your individual proposal will clearly explain what is being sourced or provided.

  • Absolutely. Meaningful pieces you already own can be incorporated when they complement the overall design. We'll determine what can be reused, refreshed or supplemented with new pieces.

  • Christmas trees are not automatically included. We can recommend or help source an appropriate tree for your design when needed.

  • For custom projects, we establish the overall design direction before final sourcing. Mood boards or inspiration imagery may be used to communicate palette, texture and aesthetic.

  • Our designs are not limited to preset themes. They can range from classic and nostalgic to organic, elegant, playful or richly layered. Your home, traditions and personal style guide the final direction.

INSTALLATION / TRAVEL

  • Absolutely. Every project is tailored to your home and can range from one special space to multiple areas throughout the home. We'll help determine the right scope based on your vision, your home and how you celebrate.

  • Installation time varies depending on the scope, tree sizes and number of spaces being styled. Timing will be discussed as part of your individual project.

  • Yes. Optional post-holiday takedown can be added to your service. We'll return to carefully remove and organize the installed decor. Storage is not included in standard takedown services, but may be available as an optional add-on and quoted separately.

  • Hearth primarily serves the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding communities, with travel available for select projects outside our primary service area. Travel-related costs are quoted separately based on location and the scope of the project.
